CHAMBER FULL PAGE ADS IN TIMES OF MIDDLE COUNTRY.

In case you missed it, your business was in the local Times of Middle Country and also in the Village Times (Three Village area). The chamber has purchased a full page in September, October and November in two editions of the Times Beacon Record. The September 23rd edition listed every chamber member with your location city and phone number. We plan to rerun this format again in October. If you would like to change your listing please email George Fleckenstein gfleckenstein@fishwindowcleaning.com.

For instance: Allstate Insurance, instead of your city (East Setauket) we will list your name – Jeff Freund. For the November ad, the Marketing Committee is considering listing any member that is offering any specials, instead of listing all members – let us know what you think.

FREE MARKETING TOOLS SEMINARS TO HELP YOUR BUSINESS GROW!

The Greater Middle Country Chamber of Commerce with the Miller Business Resource Center is presenting Growing Marketing Strategies Seminar from Marketing Executive Cindy McCaffery. This 2 part seminar series is funded through a county grant provided by Legislator Brian Beedenbender. There are two, two session seminars, all being held at the Selden Library Branch:

October 13th & 20th or November 10th & 17th from 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.

These seminars are great if you are just getting started, or if you are trying to keep the momentum going, or if you’re just fine-tuning your marketing strategy! This is a free benefit provided by your chamber!

MEET THE CANDIDATES AT THE OCTOBER 20 LUNCHEON MEETING

The Chamber is a voice of influence for the business community. We endeavor to build strong relationships with government, education and community to create a prosperous business climate for the communities we serve. Becoming knowledgeable voters is essential to helping advance local pro business legislation.

The regular monthly chamber meeting returns to the Centereach Library at noon on Tuesday, October 20 featuring a panel of all the local candidates up for election on November 3. You will be able to evaluate both candidates for each office and ask them questions.

OCTOBER 20 KICK OFF

Wouldn’t it be great if the chamber had even more ways to get our business information out to the community (in addition to the ads in the local newspaper and on the chamber internet site)? Chamber president Jeff Freund, Allstate Insurance will announce another project to benefit our businesses at the October 20 luncheon meeting.

WANT TO BE PART OF A WINNING TEAM?

Your chamber is on a roll... we’re doing a lot of great things to help our businesses grow and prosper. The chamber board has a vacancy for someone who will be active and dedicated to the success and growth of our organization. If you are or know of someone interested please contact Sandy Feinberg feinbergsandra@mcpl.lib.ny.us. The nominating committee presents the leadership slate at the November

meeting.

DID YOU KNOW?....

...our chamber is only 6 years old and we have almost 200 businesses as members? Do you know of someone that would benefit from chamber membership?

...we have three active standing committees? Marketing, Membership, Finance. And they have sub committees. You get the most benefit from your association if you are actively involved!

...all the latest, up to date chamber information is on the newly designed GMCCC website?  Set www.middlecountrychamber.com as one of your favorites and check it frequently for not only chamber updates but also Centereach,Selden and Lake Grove area news.

GREAT TURNOUT FOR THE NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

A dozen new and interested members attended the new member orientation led by Board Member Laura Sachwill, Times of Middle Country. If you’re new or just want to hear what our chamber provides, the next informational meeting will be held in January.

Congratulations Laura Sachwill, on your October wedding!
