This month’s Greater Middle Country Chamber of Commerce meeting will be a networking evening at the TD Bank in Lake Grove beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Come out and get to know your fellow chamber members.

MEMBERSHIP WALKING BLITZ – APRIL 15

The membership committee will be organizing a walking blitz in the Selden, Centereach and Lake Grove areas. Please contact Debra Timms or Kerry Baardsen if you can devote a few morning hours talking to some of the business owners on Middle Country Road about our chamber.

BARKS-N-BUBBLES RECEIVES BCCC GRANT THURSDAY NIGHT

Irene Rabinowitz from Barks-n-Bubbles Boutique in Centereach is the recipient of the Town Of Brookhaven Chamber of Commerce Coalition $1000.00 Small Business Improvement Award. They were awarded the grant for the purchase of a stackable washer and dryer. The award will be presented at the Annual BCCC Member of the Year Reception on April 15th. Congratulations!

OUR CHAMBER MEMBER OF THE YEAR PRESENTED AT ANNUAL BCCC RECEPTION

George Fleckenstein, owner of Fish Window Cleaning is the 2010 Chamber Member of the Year. George has been a member for six years, on the chamber board for four years and is currently vice president and chamber marketing chairman. He has been instrumental in creating our current by-laws, the new member orientation, and the monthly newsletter communications. He will receive his honor at the Brookhaven Chambers of Commerce Coalition 11th Annual Outstanding Member of the Year Awards Reception on Thursday at the Meadow Club, Port Jefferson Station. Past recipients include Sandra Feinberg, Ron Harrington, and Kevin McCormack.

The Tipping Point will be discussed at the next gathering of the GMCCC Business Book Club at Best Bargain Books in Centereach. Coffee is provided.
